Over the past few years as a journalist specialising in Metal I have heard many a comment about what is considered “proper metal” and what is the “right look” for a metal head. My personal opinion? The term is stupid, metal is meta; whether it’s the fun frivolities of glam, the dark beauty of black. Metal is Metal.
It also shouldn’t matter what you wear or what your hair looks like. Metal isn’t a fashion show.
