Halfway 2020 – Releases Lotty Is Looking Forward To

Following on from my post about which albums I am looking forward to, here are some releases I am looking forward to.

Battle Born – Battle Born

It has been a pleasure to help promote new Power Metal warriors Battle Born. I have reviewed their debut EP and it is one of the strongest debuts I have come across. I am looking forward to this release particularly as I know they will secure more members of their clan after hearing the rest of the strong as steel songs this EP offers up.

Feuerschwanz – Das Elfte Gebot

My attention was first drawn to this band when I heard their stunning cover of Ed Sheeran’s I See Fire. Honestly, it would have made more sense if this version played at the end of The Hobbit: Desolation Of Smaug. Their other single releases for this album have heightened my excitement for this release. Imagine if Rammstein and Korpiklanni ever had a love child, this is what Feuerschwanz sound like to me.

Dark Sarah – Grim

I have been a fan of Dark Sarah ever since first hearing Dance With The Dragon. I love how their music captures your imagination with their bold sounds and cinematic arrangements. They are due to release Grim next month, another album that I have had the pleasure to review. You will find out more in my review which is due around the release date so stay tuned. I am looking forward to the release to see what people make of the album.

U.D.O and the Musikkorps der Bundeswehr (Concert Band of the German Armed Forces) – We Are One

On my latest podcast, I mentioned I have had the lead single on loop ever since it was released. The name Udo Dirkschneider is hard to miss in the rock and metal community, whether you’re a casual listener or a die-hard fan. He will be releasing an album alongside the Musikkorps der Bundeswehr (Concert Band of the German Armed Forces) and judging from the strong sounds of this single, I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of the album offers up.

Thundermother – Heat Wave

Thundermother are a new discovery for me this year and it’s because the single Driving In Style. It delivers straight up, no nonsense hard rock and I absolutely love it. They are due to release their latest album Heat Wave at the end of next month and if it’s as strong as this single, then I am looking forward to hearing what the album delivers. If you love your hard rock, Thundermother are ones to turn to.

So, these are releases I am looking forward to. What releases are you looking forward to?
