WORDS FROM THE TEAM: Lotty’s Album Of The Month May 2022

Visions Of Atlantis – Pirates

My choice for May’s album of the month was a no brainer for me. The moment I signed up to VISIONS OF ATLANTIS’ latest voyage Pirates, I knew this was an experience I wanted to embark upon time and time again.

In terms of tying this in with the theme of Mental Health Awareness Month, this album helps me resonate with how I am feeling whilst letting me escape. This is the perfect combination and VISIONS OF ATLANTIS do this with flying colours. This is done through a stunning array of melodies that have you fully immersed. Merely mentioning my favourites on the album wouldn’t do them justice so will give a run down of each one.

The playful nautical theme at the beginning of In My World piqued my attention quite quickly. Amongst this playfulness there is a message about feeling safe and free in your world that is relatable for a lot of us.

VISIONS OF ATLANTIS hit the nail on the head when it comes to ballad and there are two great ones here. Heal The Scars brought emotions to the surface due to the beautiful melody and the heart felt lyrics that are relatable if you have been through a break up or lost a loved one. Freedom is a track that requires your full attention. If this track was in a film, this would be the part where the pirates take a break around a fire under the stars.

Legion Of The Seas was the first single released in the lead up to this album and I was taken with it instantly. It brings a smile to my face every time and makes me feel I can conquer anything.

Melancholy Angel was the second single to be released and that also grabbed my attention. The melody itself is stunning and I particularly love the vocal power between Clémentine Delauney and Michele Guaitoli in this song.

In terms of outstanding melodies, remarkable song writing and top notch production, I think this is easily the best VISIONS OF ATLANTIS album to date. If you like the song below, I recommend checking the album and band out.
