BROLLY has released the single White Out Days in anticipation of its January 24th inclusion in the ABC TV drama A Million Little Things. The solo project of Sacramento, California, musician Jacob Ithurburn, BROLLY blends sublime melodies with intimate harmonies and atmospheric productions. Centerstage are Jacob’s raw and poetic lyrics that bring an honesty and simplicity in keeping with his influences that range from Bon Iver, Ben Howard, Night Beds and far beyond.
In White Out Days Jacob creates a beautiful melancholic world that takes influence from dream pop and modern folk. The tracks’ melancholy is built on an exploration of pain and the journey towards accepting it as part of life’s reality. Jacob explains, “sometimes it’s easier to push hurt or painful experiences away, rather than embracing them, healing through them and growing from them.” A sentiment wrapped up in the lyric: “…you white out the days you know that you can’t erase…”
White Out Days follows the release of the Son EP (2018) and begins a busy release year for Jacob with the White Out Days video coming in February and a new EP arriving this Spring.
