Swedish black metal horde Svederna shares “Folkets Blod” from the impending third full-length, Härd, which will be out on CD and digital format through Carnal Records on August 28th, with a vinyl release planned later this year.
“‘Folkets Blod’ epitomizes all that Svederna is,” the Värmland-based quartet offers on the track. “Musically, it engulfs the listener in a ravaging whirlwind of blast beats and haunting melodies, transcending into a frenzied groove, without ever losing touch of the typical, raw Svederna sound. The lyrics explore a darker side of northern melancholy, describing despairing masses torn apart by deafening silence and the filthy remains of a hollowed self-understanding.”
